PROFESSIONAL INDEPENDENT COUNSELOR

I have been working with college applicants for over 20 years. Following a successful career in marketing and advertising, I decided to pursue my real passion for working with students in higher education. As a first generation college student myself, I understand how daunting the college application and financial aid process can be for families. 

My goal is to help all types of students find the best fit school based on their academic and financial goals and to counsel each student to create their most compelling college application. I get to know each student personally; their goals,values, strengths and experiences, guiding each student to create unique college applications by expressing their unique qualities and written in their voice. 

I truly can appreciate the competitive college environment as a member of the first class of women admitted to Amherst College. After completing two majors at Amherst, I completed coursework at Harvard College in English and American Studies. I pursued a Masters in Postsecondary Higher Education at Syracuse University where I majored in the changing high school and college environment. I visit most college campuses in the US enabling me to share information with my clients about admissions trends and policies.
